Why I started SynthetiQ

After 27 years in Navy aviation and defense acquisition, I saw firsthand how slow, expensive, and fragmented the test process is for uncrewed and autonomous systems.

I also saw how much was riding on getting autonomy right.

That’s why I founded SynthetiQ — to compress the time and cost of building trust in autonomous behavior. We’re creating simulation environments that let developers test and refine their systems early, often, and under realistic conditions — from air to sea to land.

Our platform is built for speed, scalability, and confidence — so both commercial teams and government programs can move faster without compromising safety or mission success.

    Dennis Monagle is a veteran Navy program manager with over two decades of experience leading aviation, uncrewed systems, and acquisition programs. He’s commanded operational units, delivered complex tech to the field, and worked across multi-billion-dollar portfolios.

    As founder of SynthetiQ, Dennis brings mission-driven focus and deep domain knowledge to building the next generation of simulation tools for trusted autonomy.
